The markets on the weekend went brilliantly. The BrisStyle Indie Designers market had been promoted so well by the promo girls that we had a constant stream of crafty, arty, hungry for handmade men and women rummaging through our stuff and buying up big. I sold so many brooches and necklaces I am taking a private jet to the Bahamas for breakfast.

The next day we got up and did it all again, this time at Southbank. We also did well there but the grandeur of Saturdays money grubbing made us high on the smell of notes and greedy for more! I am almost out of stock though so the two days I have taken off to hang out with my mum while she's here will be spent cutting, lacquering, cutting and more lacquering.

I have honed a new technique for brooching. I tried the 'oven dry'. Usually I do a 'batch' and leave them overnight to dry. I found if I turn the oven on low for 5 minutes, turn it off and leave it for another 5-10 minutes it's just warm and dry and the brooches dry in about 2o minutes. Then your flatmate comes home and turns the oven on to roast some vegetables and whacks the oven on ... what's that burning plastic smell?

Some of the wares I walked away with after the market ...
a puppy, cute little puppy from Edward and Lilly

a pretty pink little lolly drop from Hot Toffee
(these are earrings obviously, but I have yet to take a photo of my little pendant)

I bought buttons from Miss Kitty Boo Boo ... these aren't them (duh!) but they are real prudey

fabric from Red Seed Studio ...

and lastly a borrowed pic from the wonderful Twinkle Star Art ... who documented the whole market and you can see the photos on her Flicker page here

Hi
I saw you on Sunday. I briefly said to you that I was a massive blogger and a follower, grabbed a card and ran! Not sure if you do remember me...you would see soooo many people on your market days.
It was my first visit to a YD market and it was fabulous.
Glad you had a good day and see you around the market traps.
